American Honda Reports August Sales
TORRANCE, Calif. September 01, 2011
American Honda Motor Co., Inc., posted August sales of 82,321 vehicles, a
decrease of 27.2 percent, based on the daily selling rate*, the company
announced today. American Honda year-to-date sales reached 770,265, down 6.0
percent versus last year. Although production limitations caused by the March 11
earthquake in Japan continue to improve, reduced vehicle supplies adversely
affected August sales results.

Honda Division posted August sales of 73,267, a decrease of 27.5 percent
versus August 2010. The Accord was the top-selling Honda model for August with
sales of 18,439, a decrease of 21.2 percent compared to last year, followed by
