2010 HONDA CIVIC

After a refreshinging for 2009, Honda’s Civic plays a very successful hand for 2010. Both sedans and coupes come in bunches of models in DX, VP, LX, LX-S, EX, GX and Si designations. For the brand that used to have a theme of “We Make It Simple,” you need a thick playbook to decipher all the versions and combos now in showrooms. All have 4-cylinder engines ranging from 1.8-liters and 140 horsepower to the 197-hp DOHC i-VTEC 2.0-liter blaster on the Si, which has an exclusive 6-speed manual transmissions. Else where, 5-speeed manual and automatic transaxles are for the choosing. There is also a compressed natural gas (CNG) 1.8 at 113-hp on the GX. This does not even include the Civic Hybrid, covered elsewhere. The 2009 redo included new exterior and interior styling, upgrading the 2006 makeover.
